Greentech Materials close to lease deal at Port of Baton Rouge for RD facility

In Louisiana, The Advocate newspaper reports Houston-based Greentech Materials is preparing to close a lease agreement with the Port of Baton Rouge to lease 164 acres where it wants to build a renewable diesel plant with an investment of between $300 million and $700 million. Negotiations with the company have been ongoing since January but were later put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Port commissioners could vote on an agreement as soon as November.
