ADM looking to bring back online two dry mill ethanol plants in H1 2021

November 2, 2020 |

In Minnesota, Platts reports ADM’s chief financial officer said in an earnings call on Oct. 30 that it may bring its two idled dry mill ethanol mills in Iowa and Nebraska back online during the first half of next year. The two facilities, which together can produce 575 million gallons per year, were temporarily mothballed in April as a result of the sudden demand drop brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. The decision to bring them back online will depend on ethanol blending demand and the policy framework at the time.
