PostNL trialing HVO to decarbonize “last mile” postal delivery

In the Netherlands, Trans.info reports that the Dutch postal service, PostNL is trialing mail delivery in two Dutch cities using biofuel made from used cooking oil. The trial includes 60 vehicles in Zolle and Leeuwarden running on 100% HVO from Neste in hopes of eventually rolling out the fuel amongst its entire fleet in the Benelux region. The company has set a zero emissions goal for its “last mile” delivery by 2030. The trial is set to last for six weeks.
