Ethanol stocks reach 12-week high as production climbs

November 25, 2020 |

In Washington, DTN reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production rose to 990,000 barrels per day, nearly 3% higher on the week and just 6.5% lower than the same period last year. The higher volumes helped push stocks to a 12-week high of 20.866 million barrels, the highest seen since March 20. Demand was the lowest since June however as regions go back into tighter lockdown situations as the pandemic’s second wave continues to gain strength ahead of the holiday season. All regions saw stocks build except for the West Coast.
