Cenovus Energy and Husky Energy securityholders approve proposed integration

In Canada, Cenovus Energy Inc. and Husky Energy Inc. announced that securityholders from both companies have voted to support the proposed transaction, announced October 25, 2020, to combine the two companies into a resilient integrated energy leader. The transaction will make Cenovus Energy Western Canada’s largest ethanol producer by incorporating Husky Energy’s ethanol plants in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, but the deal is still subject to regulatory approvals. The an all-stock transaction valued at C$23.6 billion, inclusive of debt.
