Biofuels included in ag provisions of COVID relief deal moving through Congress

In Washington, the chairman of the House Agriculture Committee announced the food and agriculture provisions of the latest COVID relief deal moving through the House and Senate this week include payments to producers of advanced biofuel, biomass-based diesel, cellulosic biofuel, conventional biofuel, or renewable fuels with market losses due to COVID-19. The RFA has said previously that the ethanol industry is in need of in assistance to help recover from the pandemic that has led to $4 billion in losses.
