ADM temporarily shutters Nebraska dry mill plant due to excess corn supplies

In Nebraska, Bloomberg reports that as ethanol demand continues to be hit by the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic raging across the US, ADM has taken the decision to idle its Columbus dry ethanol mill through December 27 due to excessive corn supplies. The company’s two dry mill plants it idled in April at the start of the pandemic will remain shuttered through the winter. Most ethanol plants have restarted following the first wave of the pandemic but with falling demand, stocks are building steadily week on week.
