In Brazil, UkrAgroConsult reports Brazil’s biodiesel blending mandate will rise to 13% in March. The biodiesel industry has been pushing for the government to allow for higher blending volumes ahead of the scheduled increase in an effort to offset lower demand due to the COVID-19 mandate, but those attempts were unsuccessful. The mandate is set to increase 1% annually through 2028 when it will reach 20% but the domestic biodiesel association says it already produces sufficient volumes to supply a 14% mandate.
