In Colorado, Brownfield Ag News reports the CoBank Knowledge Exchange believes exports will be the main driver for ethanol demand growth, especially in countries like Brazil that recently put its 20% duty on US origin imports back in place, and China where it is slowly growing its own ethanol blending mandate. Though it does believe that ethanol demand will recover in line with life returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic winds down, it doesn’t see demand reaching pre-pandemic levels.
