In Brazil, the FAPESP news agency reports that the International Energy Agency plans to do a deep dive into the Brazilian biofuel policies in an effort to figure out improvements to further support the expansion of renewable fuels across the country. The IEA analysis will look for ways to improve efficiencies amongst six different areas including prioritization of bioenergy, market access, finance and incentives. Policies in the US and the Netherlands are currently being analyzed by the IEA as well, with two more also expected to be analyzed as part of the first round of work by the IEA to help countries boost bioenergy consumption.
