HVO trials in household heating and in tractors successful in UK

December 31, 2020 |

In the UK, Mitchell & Webber announced the first HVO trial as a heating fuel in a bungalow at the end of November. In order to switch the property to the new HVO supply from the previous fossil-based heating oil supply, Mitchell & Webber installed a nozzle change and pump pressure adjustment to the oil tank and boiler. This is the first property in the country to run on this renewable, sustainable, fuel made from certified waste fats and vegetable oils. The waste has been verified by ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) prior to manufacture with a synthesized process of Hydrogen to produce a quality fuel with no sulfurs, metals or aromatics.

The company has also been trialing the use of HVO fuel in a tractor with good results so far.
