Mumias Sugar to restart ethanol production after securing outside molasses

February 11, 2021 |

In Kenya, the Nation newspaper reports Mumias Sugar is preparing to start ethanol production again after financial woes forced the miller to shut down a month ago due to lack of feedstock. The company, once the country’s shining star producing sugar, ethanol and bottled water amongst other products, was put into receivership in September 2019.
