In Kenya, The Africa Report says Vuma Biofuels will shortly begin supplying power produced from sugarcane bagasse briquettes to industrial tea users but sees the real opportunity in household energy. The company is in the early stages of negotiations with the UN High Commission for Refugees to supply briquettes for clean cooking to help reduce deforestation and improve energy access for refugees living in the country.
