Illinois state legislature looking at bill transitioning to B20 by 2024

In Illinois, Brownfield Ag News reports state legislators have submitted a bill that seeks to boost the state’s current B11 mandate to B20 by 2024. The state’s tax exemption for B11 expires soon but the bill would extend it for another six months in addition to the transition to B20. The push for B20 is further supported by the way Chicago fleet vehicles such as garbage trucks, snowplows and biodiesel buses pulled through the extreme winter weather this year while electric buses were frozen in place.
