DDGS prices rise after corn futures limit up

April 5, 2021 |

In Iowa, DTN reports that DDGS prices rose $12 in the week ending March 31 to $222 per ton thanks to corn futures limiting up on Wednesday, rising by the maximum 25 cents per bushel, on bullish corn data from the USDA. Farmers reported lower-than-expected corn planting in the March report, surprising the market with the likelihood of tighter corn supplies. Ethanol producers have finally recovered volumes to pre-COVID levels, according to the most recent report from the Energy Information Administration.
