Ethanol stocks tighten despite increased production

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports that Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol stocks continued to shrink while production increased to 975,000 barrels per day. Stocks fell to the lowest seen since mid-November at 20.642 million barrels. With the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns having passed the one-year mark, statistics are now comparing COVID years as like for like rather than pre-COVID and mid-COVID. Blending still remains impacted by stay-at-home orders but it is increasing.
