In Iowa, KIOW radio reports that Senator Jodi Ernst stressed to the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency during Thursday’s Environment and Public Works Committee hearing that biofuels needed to be a part of the Biden Administration’s national infrastructure plan. Pointing out that corn-based ethanol can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50% compared to fossil fuels, saying that advanced biofuels need to be part of not just the infrastructure plan but also the 2030 emissions reduction target announced last week.
