Fluid Quip showed us the future, in this slide from partner Neal Jakel, whose firm just landed a major investment from and strategic partnership with Green Plains.  What you’re seeing here is the underlying geography of the Green Plains plant at Wood River, Nebraska, also home to a Cargill mill. But it could be anywhere — and look at the future of what Jakel calls the BioCampus. The dry mill, the sugar production, the alanine and PLA, the protein, ethanol,. SAF, biobased BDO, gasoline, PTE and PHA, lactic acid, vanilla ethanol and glucaric acid. One place, multiple inputs, multiple technologies, multiple products. A boon for Wood River, the Grand Island community nearby and every farmer within shipping distance of the Platte River.
