Schöni shipping Eptinger mineral water with B100 trucks

May 17, 2021 |

In Switzerland, for Eptinger, Schöni relies on a new fleet that can be operated with 100% biodiesel. The biodiesel used is made from residues such as meat waste and used cooking oils. The combustion of this biodiesel mainly produces biogenic CO2, which was withdrawn from the atmosphere when the biomass was built up and is not of fossil origin or has no impact on the climate. This means that Eptinger mineral water now reaches customers in a CO2 neutral manner! “We are very pleased, as one of the first mineral water bottlers in Switzerland, to be able to deliver our products such as Eptinger and Pepita 100% CO2-neutral to our major customers,” said Damaris Buchenhorner, Chairman of the Board of Mineralquelle Eptingen AG.
