ECB’s $800M biofuel plant seen fully online by H2 2024

In Paraguay, Investing.com reports the “Omega Green” biofuel plant, owned by the company ECB Group Paraguay, will operate at full capacity in the second half of 2024. The project promoters recently met with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to discuss the sustainability requirements of the used cooking oil that will be used as feedstock for the $800 million facility. Shell and BP have already committed to buying 100% of the facility’s offtake when operational.
