Unicane becomes Africa’s largest ethanol producer

In Nigeria, the Punch newspaper reports that Unicane has become the continent’s largest ethanol producer on the continent following its second expansion, bringing production to 420,000 liters daily. The company has succeeded in turning Nigeria into a potential next exporter of ENA whereas it had been a net importer in the past. The company was founded on import reprocessing 10 years ago but has since switched to production from cassava. Exports will be focused on supplying the African market.
