#2 Great things afoot: Hosiery brand introduces castor oil-based tights

In France, hosiery brand Gambettes Box has added two styles of tights that use fibers made from castor oil. The tights include a stylized pois pattern and a pair with diamond shapes. The material comes from Italy’s Fulgar and is trade-named EVO.

Gambettes Box is a subscription box service and previously offered a green collection featuring Fulgar’s recycled polyamide yarn, dubbed Q-NOVA.

“As well as causing changes in people’s behavior, purchasing choices and lifestyles, the global pandemic has led to greater awareness among consumers, especially younger buyers. As a result, they are considering their choices more deeply and rewarding sustainable initiatives,” says Sixtine Maroniez, Head of Product for Gambettes Box, in a press statement.
