Emerald Biofuels gets agreement with city for $315M renewable diesel project

In Texas, Port Arthur News reports that the city council has authorized an industrial district agreement with Emerald Biofuels for the proposed $315 million renewable diesel plant the company announced last year. The facility will be located on more than 18 acres, producing more than 100 million gallons of renewable diesel and 20 million gallons of other alternative petroleum products from pre-treated solid waste such as used fats and oils. The plant is expected to create 50 new full-time jobs.
