Nebraska governor signs bill allowing CCS at ethanol plants

In Nebraska, Brownfield Ag News reports Governor Pete Ricketts has signed into law a bill that will help ethanol producers lower the carbon intensity of their fuels even further by sequestering carbon in the ground. With a legal and regulatory framework to sequester carbon in a geological structure to be put in place thanks to the new law, he sees E30 as a real opportunity for transportation decarbonization which will in turn further boost the state’s ethanol industry.
