Local authorities strip AltEn of conditional use permit

In Nebraska, KOLN TV news reports that AltEn has had its conditional use permit stripped by the Village of Mead Board in a unanimous vote following 30 minutes of debate. Although the company’s attorney said suspension rather than revocation would facilitate clean up, the community pushed for revocation in fear that the company could find a way to turn itself around and begin operating again, although some say AltEn has been non-compliant for years and wasn’t likely to improve.
