House Biofuels Caucus asks Ag Secretary for pandemic relief for biofuel producers

In Washington, DTN reports that the House Biofuels Caucus is pushing for inclusion of biofuels industries in the latest pandemic bailout with 22 members writing to the Secretary of Agriculture seeking relief from the Pandemic Assistance for Producers program using funds from the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 which has a total of $6 billion available. The Representatives are looking for direct payments to both conventional and advanced biofuel producers who were in good shape financially in 2019.
