June 15, 2021 |

In India, the ANI news agency reports that with ethanol production capacity expanding rapidly thanks to soft financing, price supports and other policies, the Secretary of the Department of Food and Public Distribution expects installed capacity to double by 2025, allowing the country to achieve its 20% blending mandate goal. The E20 mandate is expected to reduce the country’s fuel-related carbon monoxide emissions by up to 50% and hydrocarbon emissions by 20% in addition to significantly reducing fossil fuel imports.
