Democrats looking to boost biofuels investment through two new upcoming bills

In Washington, Reuters reports Democratic members from both Houses of Congress are set to submit bills in the next few weeks that would see billions in tax credits and investments funneled towards biofuels including $2 billion in additional funds for higher ethanol blend fuel infrastructure. Tax credits include those on biofuels at the pump and those on flex-fuel cars. The bills may be rolled into the Biden Administration’s larger transportation bill if that goes ahead following bipartisan negotiations that have pared down the President’s ambitions significantly.
