Shree Renuka Sugars to invest $60.5M to boost ethanol production to 1.4M liters daily

In India, the Swarajya newspaper reports that Shree Renuka Sugars plans to invest $60.5 million to expand its ethanol production capacity to 1.4 million liters per day from the current 970,000 liters per day in an effort to support the country’s rising ethanol blending mandate. The expansion should be complete by October 2022. Shree Renuka had already expanded production from 720,000 liters per day in February in response to moving the E20 blend to 2025.
