Strategie Grains raises rapeseed estimate to 17M tons thanks to Romania

In France, Reuters reports that Strategie Grains data shows rapeseed production for this season will be around 17 million metric tons, up from the 16.82 million tons it forecast last month and more than 3% higher on the year, thanks to increased production in Romania. Demand for rapeseed has fallen as other vegetable oils have fallen recently, leading to a likely increase in stocks during the 2021/22 season. China has driven much of the increase in the wider vegetable oils complex over the past several months.
