Argentina extends biofuel blending law another six weeks until new policy approved

In Argentina, La Capital reports the Government extended the validity of the Promotion Regime for the Sustainable Production and Use of Biofuels established by Law 26,093 until August 27 or until a new Biofuel Regulatory Framework enters into force, whichever occurs first.

It did so through decree 456/2021 published in the Official Gazette, which extended for the second time the regime launched in 2006 with validity for 15 years, whose original expiration, on May 12, was extended in the first instance until July 12.
