New corn-based ethanol plant under development in Romania

In Romania, the ACT news agency reports that Belgo-American New-Energy plans to invest EUR60 million in a corn-based ethanol facility in in Nadlac, near Arad. The proposed facility would use 340,000 metric tons of corn from local farmers during the first phase of production. Hungarian company EuroMediu will build the new plant starting next spring. Although the news agency reports the latest technology will be employed at the facility, it didn’t indicate the source of the technology.
