European Commission extends US-origin biodiesel antidumping tariffs to 2026

In Belgium, Reuters reports the European Commission has decided to extend its antidumping tariffs on US-origin biodiesel imports for another five years on the back of concerns that dumping is still a risk if the tariffs were removed. A recent European Commission investigation revealed that the US biodiesel industry is already dumping fuel at below market prices in other third countries and could boost production and/or divert exports from cheaper markets to Europe if it didn’t extend its market protections.
