American Bakers Association asks EPA to cut biofuel blending

August 5, 2021 |

In Washington, Reuters reports that the American Bakers Association has asked the Biden Administration to cut back support for biofuels, saying that competition for crops could increase the price of its members products such as donuts and bread. It met last week with the Environmental Protection Agency to outline its concerns in hopes of seeing blending mandates cut to 2019 levels or at least not go any higher than they already are. The EPA has yet to release the 2021 and 2022 blending volumes.
