Maersk sees UCO supplies running out and green methanol following the same path

In Denmark, Bloomberg reports Maersk is trying to figure out a solution for replacing used cooking oil as feedstock for marine biofuel because it says the world’s supplies will be used up in a year or two if the growth rate continues due to the quick rise in demand for the very limited resource. Maersk’s CEO joked in an interview that the world just doesn’t eat enough French fries. Similarly, he is concerned about the availability of green methanol, another fuel his company plans to use in order to decarbonize.
