In Zimbabwe, the New Zimbabwe reports that the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe will dump the 2005 jatropha project developed by a former governor, known as Transload Enterprises, and hand it over to the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development who will use it for research. Despite government support, the project never really took off and was described by the bank’s governor as a “small elephant,” not even important enough to have been a “white elephant.”
