In Missouri, local press reports that a fire at Seaboard Energy’s St. Joseph biodiesel plant was caused by biodiesel residue catching fire, likely as a result of sun exposure. Employees had been trying to cool down the building by airing it out when the fire that became a five-story column of flames set alight. Although minor injuries were reported amongst the firefighting crew, no reports of the damage caused by the fire to the structure were included in the news.
