Renewable fuel companies beating out newcomer refiners for feedstock

In the Midwest, Reuters reports that renewable fuel companies are so far beating out the newcomer refiners in the race to secure feedstock for renewable diesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel as demonstrated by Renewable Energy Group, Darling Ingredients and Nest beating 2Q estimates while some refiners have stepped back from their ambitious plans. Demand for soybean oil and animal tallow have been the main feedstocks which are under steady competition for biofuels but companies like Neste are focused on finding more feedstocks.
