Brazilian biodiesel auction sells 1.29B liters for $1.37B

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports the most recent biodiesel auction held by the Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) saw 1.29 billion liters of fuel sold for a total of $1.37 billion and an average price of $1.08 per liter. Forty-five producers offered 1.53 billion liters of biodiesel at the four-day auction that will supply the biodiesel blending mandate between September 1 and October 31. Although the volumes of contracted fuel that carried the social seal wasn’t reported by Renewables Now, it is typically close to 100%.
