Ethanol production falls below analysts’ estimates to lowest seen since March

In Washington, Dow Jones reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production fell to 933,000 barrels per day last week, 40,000 barrels lower than the week prior, to the lowest levels seen since March. Analysts had expected production to be between 962,000 barrels per day to 990,000 barrels, so the actual figure was far below estimates. Ethanol stocks followed production stats lower, falling 335,000 barrels to 21.22 million barrels, which was in line with analysts’ estimates.
