Sinopec to invest $4.6B in major hydrogen roll out through 2025

In China, the South China Morning Post reports that Sinopec has announced a five-year, $4.6 billion plan to roll out hydrogen fueling infrastructure throughout the country as part of China’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2060 but with hopes of beating the goal by a decade. The investment includes 1,000 hydrogen fueling stations with 200,000 metric tons of refueling capacity, and 1 million metric tons of zero-emission hydrogen production annually. Sinopec has 30,000 fueling stations nationwide.
