EPA asking appeals court permission to reconsider 2019 SRE decisions

September 2, 2021 |

In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency has asked the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to allow the agency to reconsider some of the 31 small refinery exemptions it approved in 2019 as well as the five it denied. The EPA said the request was in light of court decisions that have taken place since the 2019 decisions were made, but the Renewable Fuels Association is against the EPA’s request to the court.
