Brazil imports 15,000 tons of soy oil from Argentina for biodiesel

In Brazil, Platts reports that in light of rising biodiesel prices that has forced the energy ministry to cut blending to 10% from the mandated 12% to keep prices down, a company is said to have imported 15,000 metric tons of soy oil from Argentina for biodiesel production. Platts did not report the price of the trade but said Brazilian FOB Paranagua soybean oil prices for October were up 52% on the year at $1,307.34 per metric ton.
