September 20, 2021 |

In Sweden, Flight Global Reports that Braathens Regional Airlines plans to run a 100% biofuel ATR turboprop flight in early 2022 as the company works to eventually run entirely on biofuel. One of the engines will run on 100% SAF while the other engine will run on a 50% SAF blend with an expected GHG emission reduction of 64% compared to 100% fossil-based jet fuel. Running both engines on 100% SAF would achieve more than 80% GHG savings, according to the company’s new CEO.
