Oxfam reports slams Peruvian ethanol project as example of bad EU policy

September 28, 2021 |

It shows how EU policies are fueling land and water grabbing, air pollution, climate change vulnerabilities, food insecurity and social unrest in the Chira Valley.

Oxfam is calling on EU countries to establish strong and legally binding social safeguards for their energy markets, and fully phase out land-based biofuels.
