In India, the Mint reports state-owned Indraprastha Gas Limited has signed an agreement with South Delhi Municipal Corporation to extend the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) scheme by investing in waste-to-energy production that will provide renewable CNG for vehicles. The biogas plant and fueling facility will be established in Hastsal in West Zone while the city authorities will provide 100 metric tons per day of waste for biogas feedstock, resulting in 4 tons of biogas production daily.
