HPCL sees Indian ethanol blending hitting 8.3% in 2021/22

In India, the Press Trust of India newspaper reports Hindustan Petroleum Corp Limited believes ethanol blending will achieved in all states for 2020/21, the current season ending in November, with an average of 8.3%, the highest level ever. Blending was only 5% the season prior. Sikkim, the last state to supply ethanol-blended gasoline to drivers, received its first deliveries last week. HPCL expects ethanol blending to reach 10% in 2021/22. The government wants blending to reach 20% by 2023.
