October 21, 2021 |

In France, Reuters reports that as gasoline prices have soared, demand for E85 has grown alongside with ethanol demand expected to break records both this year and next. Although ethanol consumption dropped in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 ethanol demand is expected to jump to 12 billion liters, higher than the previous record in 2019, with another increase seen for 2022. Last week, E85 was nearly 60% cheaper than E10 at just 80 cents per liter.
