Indonesia to save $4B in fossil fuel imports in 2021 thanks to biodiesel blending

In Indonesia, the Antara news agency reports the president estimates the country has saved as much as $4 billion on fossil fuel imports in 2021 thanks to biodiesel blending compared to $2.7 billion in savings in 2020. With palm oil production potential as high as 52 million metric tons annually, the president wants to see a shift not only towards more biodiesel production but also more products that can come from the feedstock as a way to boost job creation.
