ISU data shows ethanol margins up 435% on the year at 91 cents per gallon

In Iowa, Fastmarkets AgriCensus reports Iowa State University models show that ethanol margins are currently around 91 cents on the gallon, a whopping 435% higher than during the same period last year, 355% higher than in 2019 before the pandemic, and the highest margins seen since December 2014. So, it’s no wonder that ethanol production reached 1.106 million b/d in the week ended October 22 and headed for the highest level seen since December 1, 2017 when it reached 1.108 million b/d.
